Persecution and Challenges Facing the Church in the Northwest

In several Northwest regions, the freedom to gather for worship on the Lord’s Day is under severe threat. House churches, once a refuge for believers, are now under attack, forcefully shut down, and threatened with dire consequences. The situation is growing increasingly difficult for Christians striving to live out their faith.

The Struggles of the Church

🚨 Missionary Movements Hindered – Evangelism and outreach have become nearly impossible due to the constant fear of arrest. Gospel workers are forced to remain silent or risk imprisonment.

🏠 Christian Gatherings Under Threat – Whether in homes or other locations, Christian meetings are now considered dangerous. Believers face life-threatening risks simply for gathering to worship.

📖 Restricted Gospel Distribution – Sharing the good news through literature and other means is no longer an option. Strict monitoring and crackdowns have made it unsafe for workers to distribute Christian materials.

🙏 House Churches in Crisis – Many house fellowships have been shut down, leaving believers with no place to worship. Those that still exist operate under constant fear of attacks, beatings, and imprisonment.

💔 Pastors in Financial Hardship – House church pastors, most of whom are over 40 years old, struggle to survive financially. With no other vocational training, they find themselves without means of support in these desperate times.

How We Can Respond

📢 Raise Awareness – The suffering of our brothers and sisters in Christ must not be ignored. We must spread the word and advocate for them.

🙏 Commit to Prayer – We call on believers worldwide to pray fervently for the persecuted church. May God grant them strength, courage, and provision in their time of need.

💖 Support House Church Pastors – These faithful leaders are enduring financial and emotional hardship. Any support extended to them can make a crucial difference.

The body of Christ is one family, and when one part suffers, we all suffer. Let us stand together in prayer and action to support our persecuted brothers and sisters.
